How the Wafrow + ActiveCampaign integration works

1. Build your design template

Create your banner template inside Wafrow's visual editor. Add dynamic textbox layers for subscriber name, business name, custom discount code, or any ActiveCampaign contact field.

2. Insert the URL into ActiveCampaign

Copy the generated Wafrow image URL. In ActiveCampaign's email editor, insert a standard image block and set the source URL, appending ActiveCampaign tags like %FIRSTNAME% to the query parameters.

3. Dynamic rendering at open time

When an email is sent, ActiveCampaign replaces the tags with contact-specific details. Wafrow reads these values in real-time as the email is opened, rendering a customized graphic in milliseconds.

Insert an image block or custom HTML block in your ActiveCampaign campaign builder and set the source URL to your Wafrow image endpoint. Append ActiveCampaign personalization tags (e.g. %FIRSTNAME%) as query parameters. Wafrow will dynamically compile and serve a customized image for each recipient as soon as they open the email.

Does Wafrow work inside ActiveCampaign Automations?

Yes. Wafrow dynamic image URLs are fully supported inside ActiveCampaign automation emails, campaigns, transactional campaigns, and split-test emails. Since Wafrow images are rendered at open time, they scale automatically with any automation volume.

Can I use custom contact fields in my personalized images?

Yes. You can use any standard or custom contact field configured in your ActiveCampaign account. Simply map your custom field placeholder (e.g., %CONTACT_CUSTOM_FIELD%) as the value for the matching Wafrow template layer in the image URL.

Is a developer needed to set up the ActiveCampaign integration?

No. Setup is completely code-free. You design the image template visually in Wafrow, copy the generated image URL, and paste it into ActiveCampaign's email editor. ActiveCampaign handles the tag merging, and Wafrow handles the rendering.

Are Wafrow images cached to ensure fast loading times?
